Push up Competition

  • Competition begins in push up position
  • Push- up position:
    • Arms straight
    • Back straight
    • Bottom down and aligned with your back (your body should be a straight line)
    • Arms about shoulder width apart
    • Shoulders directly perpendicular to your wrists
    • Hands flat on the floor
    • Feet together
  • Performing the push up:
    • The push up must start in push up position
    • Participant must bend elbows to a 90-degree angle
    • A push up only counts when your elbows form a 90-degree angle
    • Judges/ Counters will decide whether the push up counts
    • Participants will be tapped on the shoulder by a judge if the push up does not count
      • Once you have been tapped three (3) times you are out of the challenge and/or competition
  • Participant who does the most correct push-ups or is the last one performing push-ups wins.
  • Or timed competition, where students are given a time limit. Whichever participant performed the most correct push-ups wins.

Jump Rope Competition

  • Competition begins participant standing with handles of jump rope in hand and the middle of the jump rope touching the floor
  • During competition:
    • Participants will jump rope until they miss a jump
    • Once the participant misses a jump they are out of competition. Judge will dismiss eliminated participant

Sit up Competition

  • Competition begins with participant laying down flat on their back on a mat with their knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Arms crossed over their chest.
  • During competition:
    • Participants begin in starting position
    • Participants complete a sit up by moving the upper half of their body from the floor to a complete sit up position. Back of participants hand must touch their knees.
    • Participants will be tapped on the shoulder by a judge if the sit up does not count
    • Once you have been tapped three (3) times you are out of the challenge and/or competition

Squat Competition

  • Competition begins with participants standing up straight and arms by their side
  • During competition:
    • Participants begin in starting position
    • Participants complete a squat by bending their knees and forming a 90-degree angle with their knees
    • Arms may remain at their side or out in front of them
    • Participants will be tapped on the shoulder by a judge if the push up does not count
      • Once you have been tapped three (3) times you are out of the challenge and/or competition
